It was Son of Dish Rag Tag, put together by the wonderful Emily of <a href="http://www.yarnmiracle.com/">YarnMiracle</a>. By complete beginner's luck, I was placed on a speedy, friendly, funny team - Chronicles of Yarnia - and we finished second out of 20 teams! And if that weren't enough, I also got swag courtesy of <a href="http://mommy-knitter.blogspot.com/">Dorothy</a>.<div><br /></div><div>She did also send some salt water taffy, but I scarfed it before I got the photo. I made the bluebell version of the <a href="http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTperdita.html">pattern from Knitty</a>. <div><br /></div><div>Knitting at this small a gauge (I used size 1 DPNs, but basically used them like straights) is more fiddly than I would have thought. I ran out of the floss I was using and was unable to precisely match the color, so the last repeat of the pattern is slightly lighter. The lighter floss was also better quality - wish I had started with three little skeins of that instead of switching. That's what keeps life interesting. I love the appearance and warmth of cables. Definitely looking forward to trying some of the other cable patterns in the book.</div><div><br /></div><div>The six-stitch cable square is my fourth of 20 squares needed to complete the afghan.
